We must be followers of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the authority of leadership, in the power of worship and in the glorification of God
“This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you— if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined. He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision party” (Titus 1:5-10) (ESV)
In search of integrity, hope and relevance in the Church. Followers of Jesus Christ is at a defining moment in life to prove God at His word. “For he (Abraham) look for a city which had foundations, whose builder and maker is God” (Heb. 11:10). Post-modern conditions of the evangelical/protestant church suggest men are looking for foundations built of man and not God. “And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). *The purpose of repentance is to receive the forgiveness of sin; (your pardon). Baptism is the act of obedience and the fulfilling of righteousness. The gift is the promise of salvation.
The word apologetic refers to defense based on factual evidence. Literally it means to defend the faith in respect to theology. Eccentric: To deviate from the primary source or pattern. To be unbalanced and insecure. Ecclesiastics: The assembly of a religious institution or congregation. Historically, considering today it refers to a town hall gathering. For the sake of the believer, we focused on a universal body rather than a local gathering.
When did God chose so many spokesmen to carry his name, who do not even believe in the virgin birth and the resurrection of Jesus Christ? I believe God would say “I didn’t send for them.” Self-satisfying Christian’s leaders reject the only God and Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ and rather has chosen political correctness and the likes. In retrospect Ecclesiastic Rage defines religious madness against God. There is an outlook of a wondrous universal church redeemed to God out of every kindred, tongue, nation, and people by the blood of the Lamb. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:1-2).
