candle 2 (2).jpg“The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up” (Matthew 4:16).

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

What is the association of the stars and the candlesticks?

“And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.” (Revelation 1:13).
“The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches” (Revelation 1:20).

Going forward keep your house in order. Make sure the candlestick is in place and it is lit (burning) to give light to the world.

*************************************************************************************************** There are seven stars in Jesus’ right hand and Jesus walked in the midst of Seven Golden Candlesticks. John's first mentioning is that he saw the Golden Candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven candlesticks are the seven churches.

• The stars are the lamps of God and the candlesticks reference the light of God. The light of the candlestick makes the lamp complete and entire. If the candlestick doesn’t give light or if it is moved out of it place that puts the church in jeopardy. The lamps are to be perpetual unto the Lord always.

• The candlesticks are placed inside the lamp and made to burn perpetual. There were seven (7) lamps to give light. Lamps had to be dressed daily and Aaron burned incense upon the lamps, a perpetual incense before the Lord. (Exodus 25:31, 37; 30:7-8; 39:37) The seven (7) candlesticks are made of pure gold with special designs of beaten work, flowers, bowls and branches.

• Pure gold gives us a portion (shadow) of what heaven will portray. However, pure gold presented in the heaven was described by John as so pure that it was transparent as glass, the entire pathway (street).

• The lamps had to be placed in a certain order and they had to have oil for the light.

• The Church is made up of both the star and the candlestick, they become one unit. This is the lamp and candlestick of pure gold that must have oil (the Spirit) for light.

• Note, Jesus does not have the seven candlesticks in His hands. He ensures the candlesticks are in order, (in the right place) and ensures that the stars in his right hand keep them trimmed to give light (in the tabernacle of God) the body of Christ.

• Jesus has given you (the church) a candlestick, it is your candlestick and you must be faithful in your service unto the Lord God, else he will remove it from you. Your candlestick is priceless because it will lead you to the “Tree of Life”.

• The Psalmist declared, “thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”. Jesus walked as a lamp among those in the dark region and in the shadow of death, He brought light.

• The lamp and light are covenant together and must not be separated.

• You have the light of God, so let it shine.
